Product Manager

We’re in the market for a Product Manager to join our growing team and lead strategic initiatives related to making value-based health care a reality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own major pieces of the product roadmap from market needs discovery and validation through design, engineering, and release

  • Work with leadership to develop and manage long-term product strategy, including new market entry and the development of meaningful IP

  • Source and lead co-development and co-innovation efforts with customers, partners, and other stakeholders

  • Define and refine procedures and tools in support of both internal product development and customer engagement

  • Develop supporting plans for upcoming product releases and updates

  • Contribute to core business development, sales, and operations (we’re a start-up!)

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related experience with at least 3 years as a software product manager

Data & Business Analyst

We’re in the market for a Data & Business Analyst to join our growing team and lead strategic initiatives related to making value-based health care a reality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create an internal data analytics system to enable experimentation, speed new product development, contribute to new research, and support sales and business development.

  • Own the automation of key aspects of internal operations and product workflow.

  • Contribute to (or own!) the adoption of new technologies to support the data pipeline from payers and providers to Avant-garde.

  • Contribute to ad hoc projects across the organization (we’re a start-up!)

  • 1+ year of related experience

  • Formal training and experience working with complex datasets in repeatable ways

Lead ETL/ Reporting Engineer

We’re in the market for an experienced Lead ETL/Reporting Engineer to help design – and execute on – every aspect of our software platform while driving the broader build out of our engineering team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive standardization software solutions being implemented for data storage for all ETL processing.

  • Lead effort for the creation of ETL to integrate disparate data sources into AWS processes and then into Mysql.

  • Architect the proper data model for Application performance and reporting visualization

  • Work tightly with the broader data science and software teams to identify the path to a successful product

  • Identify poorly running SQL and made changes to SQL or business process to correct issues

  • Create custom monitoring jobs to keep ETL & reporting performance statistics and project future growth.

  • Establish KPIS that drive proactive monitoring across all systems

  • Troubleshoot and root cause all data delays and inaccuracies to provide proactive monitoring and automation is in place

  • Manage the backup and recovery procedures for all systems to protect client information

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Data Engineering.

  • 3-5 years experience in back-end Python programming, with Django experience preferred

  • Strong AWS skills: S3, Lambda, SQS, EC2, ECS, CloudWatch, AWS CLI, Boto3

  • Experience with micro services with containers (Docker or Kubernetes) strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of software team management philosophies (e.g. Agile, Scrum) and various product management/software development tools (e.g., JIRA, GitHub, PyUnit, etc.) are pluses

  • Experience with software development for health care products (esp. FHIR or HL7) as well as familiarity with common clinical scenarios, regulatory and quality standards, payer and provider considerations, are beneficial but not necessary

  • Strong analytical, planning, and time management skills with a strong attention to detail


Full Stack Engineer

We’re in the market for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to help design – and execute on – every aspect of our software platform while driving the broader build out of our engineering team.  You must be a strategic thinker, with endless amounts of energy. Key Responsibilities

  • Expand our health care analytics visualization tools, used by surgeons and hospital CFOs to identify cost reduction and outcomes improvements.

  • Implement new feature requests as well as fixes to our customer and contractor facing applications

  • Build highly-available services and REST APIs that provide the backbone of the product

  • Aggregate, analyze, and visualize large data sets

  • Pitch in with the team when a component of our applications demand immediate attention

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Data Engineering.

  • 2-4 years experience in SaaS, or platform delivery environment, on the AWS Cloud platform.

  • Mastery of modern backend web programming standards, including object-oriented design and application architecture. Experience with the leading frameworks in backend languages like React, and Python3 highly preferred

  • Front-end engineering chops, using modern (ES6/Next) JavaScript languages and frameworks, particularly in a React/Redux stack. Familiarity with modern JS developer tooling such as Webpack

  • Strong AWS skills: S3, Lambda, SQS, EC2, ECS, CloudWatch, AWS CLI, Boto3

  • Experience with micro services with containers (Docker or Kubernetes) strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of software team management philosophies (e.g. Agile, Scrum) and various product management/software development tools (e.g., JIRA, GitHub, PyUnit, etc.) are pluses

  • Passion for delivering and scaling business critical systems, and a strong understanding of the core tenets and practices of micro-services architecture

  • Expertise in containerized systems, particularly with Docker, and knowledge of best practices for designing, building, and deploying containerized applications

  • Health care industry: experience building applications within a HIPAA compliant framework.
